Doronko Wanko is one of the cutest dog games I’ve played. I was intrigued by the concept of the game, be the most mischievous dog you can be. I started out as a dog completely covered in mud and quickly realized my potential for chaos. As I started to explore the house, I learned how to shake the mud off and jump up on things to knock over liquids to create a bigger mess. With the goal of making the house as dirty as possible, I loved the challenge of covering everything in mud, wine, paint, and more.
I didn’t get to hear any audio in this preview, but the visuals were woof-derful. The art style is impressive. When I knocked over a champagne bottle, it exploded like it would in real life. Even the interactive items, like the fan, were detailed. I could see the fan spinning and the air carrying the mud droplets to the wall. The whole house was beautifully illustrated.
I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of this game. There were a few puzzles to solve to reach certain areas, and my increasing damage to the house unlocked new items. I loved discovering all the little extras the game had to offer.
If you’re a fan of Powerwash Simulator but wish you could be the one creating the mess, this game is a must-try. After playing it at PAX, I couldn’t resist grabbing it for free on Steam. In total, I spent around 3 hours of gameplay on the way home unlocking everything. I’ll probably play again in the future as I really enjoyed finding all the wearable items and things to interact with.
