Adventures of a Cat in Space hooked me instantly because it has my two favorite things: feline charm and cosmic wonder! The game opens with a chaotic scene starring a fluffy, determined cat who is on the tail of a cheeky mouse. I delightfully navigate the cat towards the mouse in a whirlwind of furniture hopping and near-misses. However, that mouse leads me into a wild predicament. In a series of unfortunate events, I hop on a rogue lever, hit some buttons and all of a sudden launch into the vast expanse of space!

The game is a delightful mix of puzzle-solving, exploration, and sheer adorable chaos. With the invaluable (and often humorous) assistance of the ship’s onboard computer, brought to life by Arthur Darvill’s engaging voice acting, I embark on a quest to guide my furry friend back to Earth. The puzzles are an enjoyable mix, seamlessly weaving together item-based challenges and intuitive mini-games. Each solved puzzle brought me one step closer to home, making the journey as rewarding as it was entertaining.

My favorite aspect of the demo was the sheer artistry of the visuals and the irresistible pull of the soundtrack. The hand-drawn art style transforms each scene into a vibrant, interactive cartoon episode brimming with chaotic silliness. And the music? Pure earworm magic! I’m still humming those catchy tunes, ‘Adventuuures of a cat in space, you’ve gotta get home to the human race…’ Don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine - it’s just the game’s undeniable catchiness taking hold.
I am anxiously waiting for the full release of the game to continue my quest, as I’m sure the adventures ahead are going to be just as magical and playful. The demo left me on the edge of my seat, having just begun the quest to gather energy for my navigation machine from the far reaches of space on unexplored planets. I’m purr-fectly certain the rest of the journey home will be filled with magical mischief and delightful sing-a-longs.
